KL Half Marathon: My last run through KL with my KL Road Runner running group

It was like a run down memory lane,
revisiting my past year in KL
And, revisiting a year of Saturday long runs
training with my KL Road Runner friends
for each half marathon we ran together.
6:00 am, before the 6:30am start
Front row: Jennifer, me, Andrew, Jane
Back: Damian, Rob, Andrew's wife and Eric
Everyone waiting for the start
20,000 people registered to run, across the 10K to the full marathon

All the 3 cultures in Malaysia represented -- Indian-Malaysian
Chinese-Malaysian

And, yes, you can stop to pray in this race, for the
Muslim Malays

Prince Court hospital where Dad stayed for treatment after he arrived
Muslim call to prayer from these, one of thousands, of mosque speakers in KL

Doesn't Khomeini's face just want you to change your money there?
Only in this 55% Muslim country that's open to Capitalistic values would
put Khomeini on a money-making business

We went up top of the KL Tower a couple times to eat the 3 culture brunch and see the views when first arriving in KL

The Sheraton, where Becca and I ran after a paranoid schizophrenic homeless guy
kicked her and chased us as we took a Sunday morning run

The hottest mist I've ever had
Under this subway station was where the homeless guy kicked and chased Becca
1 Malaysia, uniting the 3 cultural groups, has become a bit of a joke in the nation and in our crowd. Nothing like a little propoganda to make a good joke.
Add Jonathan and Wilma on the right
We made it!! 21K, or a half-marathon
I ran past the Petronas Towers too -- a couple blocks from our condo!
Rob and wife

Chillin at Irma's after-party. Drinking much champagne to kill the pain
This running crowd is way too much fun. Hard to leave...

And my kids had a blast too at the after-party
