January 5, 2011Above is a water buffalo plowing a rice field. I took many pictures with Boom by my side. My guide had a tense conversation in Vietnamese with the farmer's wife. Turns out, she wanted us to pay them for taking the farmer's picture. We gave them some money, but were reminded how the Vietnamese never miss an opportunity to make a buck, even off a water buffalo.
